Korumburra City Soccer Club 10 Year Celebration Ball

Wow what a spectacular weekend we have had working on the 10 Year Celebration Ball for the Korumburra City Soccer Club as part of our sponsorship of the club.

The night was attended by over 65 guests who enjoyed a 2 course buffet dinner by Brent Sinclair Catering. Once the formalities were out the way guests entertained themselves on the dance floor, playing, mingling or in our custom made selfie booth.

For this event I decided to do something a little bit different to what we normally would do. Tables and chairs were decorated in a mix of black and silver which complemented the purple ceiling lighting and centrpieces perfectly. It gave this room an elegant and edgy feel. I think this look would be perfect for most events and functions from 21st's, engagement parties, weddings and more.

I am asked often what do I get out of sponsoring the soccer club. Not only do I get to help the club run events that help raise much needed funds for a country club but i also get the flexibility to test out and showcase new decor which in this case included our black chair covers and table cloths with silver sashes and runners. I also get to experiment with the centrepieces as we ususally do similar work during the wedding season and I'm always looking for new ideas to include in our wedding packages.

Another exciting part of this event was working with the wonderful Chelsea from Chelsea Anne Photography on putting together a set up video. Because I had more flexibilty with time constraints on this event (as opposed to other functions and weddings) we were able to get some footage of what goes in to bringing you your dream event. I cat wait to see the final outcome from this production in a couple of weeks when Chelsea returns from a much needed holiday.

Wedding Venue Transformations

Over the past 4 years I have worked in some beautiful and not so beautiful spaces. One of the best parts of my job is seeing a blank space venue transform into the wedding or event you have always envisioned.

Some venues while a blank space are gorgeous and dont need much to get them event ready. Other venues need a little more help, but look just as wonderful as other venues.

The easiest, quickest and most cost effective way to transform your space is with table centrepieces, chair covers and sashes. These help to enchance the ambience and overall look of all venues, and will help draw the focus to tables instead of to problem areas.

One of our favourite ways to transform a venue is through the use of lighting and ceiling decor.  Ceiling decor alone can alter the feel of a room or when coupled with other decor such as centrepieces, chair covers and sashes you can completely transform a venue into something almost unrecognisable.

Check out some of our transformation pictures to see the difference a little decor makes.

Mary and Jaye

Last year we attended our very first wedding expo and we had a wedding ceremony set up as a prize to be won. The lucky couple Jaye and Mary, were the fortunate couple who received this prize.

On the 26th of November Jaye and Mary were married at one of my favourite venues, the State Coal Mine in Wonthaggi, surrounded by their closest family and friends. We were so happy to see a wonderful young couple get married and take part in creating the wedding of their dreams.

Congratulations to Jaye and Mary, we wish you a lifetime of happiness together. It was a pleasure to work with you.

Wedding Season recap

WOW what a wedding season it has been (yes I know its technically not wedding season but we have not stopped). Id like to thank all of our gorgeous couples for giving us the chance to work with them in so many different and beautiful locations, from Coal Creek, Darnum, Traralgon, Melbourne, Berwick and more. I am truly blessed to be able to help you all onyour big day.

I get asked all the time what has your favourite wedding been, and honestly I cannot choose a favourite because they are all so different. I love working in different venues to help create each couples dream wedding. There is a great sense of achievement seeing the difference some simple decorations can have on altering not only the look but the atmosphere of venues. I truly love what I do.

For the next 2 months I will be taking a well earned break travelling around Europe. I will be returning to work on the 24th October, just in time for the start of another busy wedding season. While my phone will be out of action I will however be contactable by email and on Facebook.
